We were delighted to welcome to the school Abie Longstaff, author of the book series The Fairytale Hairdresser and The Magic Potions Shop, to give talks to the Lower School and the Nursery, and to sign copies of her books. The Reception and Bluebird Nursery pupils were enthralled by her expressive reading from her book, The Fairytale Hairdresser and Beauty and the Beast, and were thrilled to have the opportunity to meet her. Forms 1 and 2 were treated to a fascinating talk and learned all about Ms Longstaff’s job as an author and the inspiration behind her books. Ms Longstaff enjoyed her visit, commenting, “I can’t believe how lovely the girls are here. This is one of the nicest schools I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot of schools.”
