Franklin D Roosevelt once said, “Democracy cannot succeed unless those who express their choice are prepared to choose wisely. The real safeguard of democracy, therefore, is education.” We have seen democracy in action this week across the UK and will see it again in June. It was therefore delightful to witness our School Council meeting with Aldenham Prep’s School Council this week, and to watch the children taking such an active and keen part in democracy within our own community. We have no doubt our girls at St Hilda’s will grow up to make very wise choices.
