Visit to Bushey Museum
Form 1 enjoyed their visit to Bushey Museum finding out about, and playing with toys from the past. A particular favourite was 72-year-old Dog Dog which the girls got to ride along on. The oldest toy we saw was a wooden hoop. The girls played with a Bagatelle and learnt that it was not so easy to score points as they hoped, as they had to think carefully about how hard to push the balls with the wooden stick. One of the most popular toys was the Spinning Disc which was attached to a looped string. The faster they twisted the string the faster the disc spun. They also played with a variety of mechanical toys which had to be wound up and did not rely on batteries to make them work.
