World Religion Assembly
We celebrated a huge range of faiths and religions from all over the globe in a wonderful assembly for World Religion Day led by Mrs Peterman, Humanities Coordinator. A number of girls contributed to the assembly, confidently and passionately delivering presentations about their own beliefs, and Mrs Peterman said, “It was an opportunity to celebrate our diversity and yet showing our unity, as we are all part of one world.”
After all, as Nelson Mandela so eloquently said, “Religion is one of the most important forces in the world. Whether you are a Christian, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew, or a Hindu, religion is a great force, and it can help one take command of one’s own morality, one’s own behaviour, and one’s own attitude.”
