Form 2 Trip to Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery

Form 2 had a great day out at the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery. They enjoyed exploring both the ‘Imagination’ and ‘Discovery’ galleries where they were able to immerse themselves in several well-known Roald Dahl stories and let their imaginations run wild! Travelling in the Great Glass Elevator, crawling underground through Fantastic Mr Fox’s Tunnel and exploring sound with the BFG were definitely highlights of the day, but the most exciting part had to be shrinking Miss Charles and watching her get eaten by a crocodile using Mr Wonka’s Chocolate Television Machine! Form 2 also learnt and discussed how Roald Dahl gained inspiration and started to fill their very own ideas books. The girls have come back with some very useful writer’s tips and look forward to applying these to their own stories.
