This week Form 6 girls have eagerly awaited the announcement of their Prefect duties.  It was marvellous to see how mature and excited the girls were when they received their badges in a special assembly and their eagerness knew no bounds.  As I observed the girls joy and enthusiasm in gaining these positions alongside the effervescence they exude as they embrace these new challenges, I was reminded of a saying by Denis Waitley when he stated; "The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence."  The Form 6 girls have certainly borne their responsibilities well and their independence is shining through and are rising to the challenges with great aplomb as a strong Form 6 team.
